Xiaomi has officially announced it’s latest device aimed at being affordable and suited for the lower-end of the market. Xiaomi will first launch the Redmi Go in the Philippines and will later release in more markets globally.
Android Go was launched back in 2017 as a more efficient and lighter edition of Android. Xiaomi’s Redmi Go will run Android 8.1 (Go edition) featuring an optimized, slimmer image of Google apps. The Redmi Go features a 5.0-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, 3000mAh battery, and comes in either black or blue.
Steven Shi, Head of Southeast Asia, Xiaomi Global states “With Redmi Go making its global debut here, we hope that even more users here will be able to enjoy an amazing smartphone experience at an amazing price. This is part of our commitment to make innovation available to everyone.”
